Swinging Bridges – Day 1 : “Let’s Ride”

Swinging Bridges – Day 1 : “Let’s Ride”

Join me for a 500 mile ride on my WR250R around central Missouri to visit some early 1900s swinging bridges. Some of these bridges are almost a hundred years old and are historical gems. Day 1 includes some amazing Missouri creek roads, visiting a historic train trestle bridge and camping off the bike.

Day 2 : “The Bridges Home”

PS.: If you are wondering why I ride so slow over the slab creek crossings, well, if you are from the midwest, I don’t have to tell you why. But if you aren’t from these parts, those things are death.  We call them slime crossings, or slip-n’ slides… here’s a few videos from local MO ADV’ers proving my point:

Great Video. When you pulled in to Bixby at about 4-5 min in you came from the road that we left town on, so you may rode across the same bridge that took me out.

Just curious about the music, when ever I put music in a video, YouTube doesn’t seem to like it. Is vimeo the same way or do you have rights free music?

Thanks for sharing. On to part 2.

Vimeo doesn’t strip the music, but I always give credit to the musicians/bands. I like that freedom at Vimeo, works for me!

It’s good riding down there isn’t it!
