13 Jan WR Gear Ratios
Another WR owner on ADVrider.com, Chadx, created this gearing ratio for the WR so I wanted to repost this information before it gets lost in the thread!
Stock gearing is 13T Front / 43T Rear sprockets with Trailwing rear tire. The ratio with the taller D606 rear tire assumes a 5% increase.

Posted at 12:04h, 29 AugustHi Bill…so thankful for your site! Would you mind sharing your thoughts on 14/50 sprocket D606 tire combo? Was about to change rear to 48t, leaving 13t front, but then I saw what you are running, and also Big Dog’s 14t front reco. Would love to know how you like your combo, especially vs. stock. Thank you!

Posted at 09:18h, 31 AugustHey Buck… I really like the 14/50, I previously ran 13/48 and really like that as well but then decided to go 14T up front to alleviate any possible wear on the chain slider, I’m sure you’ve heard about those issues.
If you ride more off-road, these combos are much better than stock for sure! You will really like the lower gearing and I can still ride 75mph all day long!
Take care,
Basher

Posted at 04:03h, 21 NovemberAny rubbing problems with the 14t front and the Sandman Case Saver? Also, with the 50t rear, did you have to remove the rear heal guard/chain cover?
Gratefully,
Buck

Posted at 13:08h, 24 NovemberBuck… yes there is slight rubbing on the Sandman case saver.. but I thought I’d rather have that rub than my swingarm. And I did not remove my heal guard/chain cover with this setup.
Ride safe,
Basher
