If you haven’t seen this build yet.. its a must see! Upshift dialed in their 2017 KTM 350 EXC-F project bike. It’s great to see the pros take a bike, especially one you own, and give it all it can take. They commented on stock setup and suspension, which is great to hear this kind of feedback.

- The KTM EXC line of bikes are simply amazing for Dual Sport usage and we thought we would tinker with our 350EXC to see just how good we could make it for the trails.
- The Vortex ECU, FMF muffler and removing the back fire screen were our main mods to this already great bike. The bike has plenty of power for the track and the trail.
- Factory Connection is known as the Honda suspension guys but they really know how to do magic to the WP Explore and PDS shock.
- Baja Designs was able to help power up much more with the plug n play headlight that fits nicely in the stock headlight mask.
Highlights of the build
- FMF Slip on with Spark arrestor is a great way to increase power for a cheap price.
- Vortex ECU — was used to allow for better tuning when on the trail or at elevation.
- Removed back fire screen— OEM two stroke cage was installed for quicker snap of the bottom.
- Left all Emissions intact
- Gearing update. We switched the front to a 13T from the stock 14T to allow for much better trail power.
- Baja Designs head light in stock mask with high output and high and low beam working.
- XCW rear tail piece with custom Tusk blinkers set up for much sleeker look for license plate set up.
- KTM Orange frame guards 79003094000EB
Factory Connection notes on suspension
We have worked really hard with this bike in the field and on the dyno. The OEM set up is unbalanced; the back rides high and the forks low giving a push to the front and harsh feel to the forks. On the shock we have a plusher setting than OEM that improves traction and small bump ride. The forks have improved damping curve that holds them up in the stroke and is still very plush for the nasty trails. The balance of the bike is improved to give the bike the right front to back feel and correct load on the forks and shock under braking and acceleration.
