20 Nov BigDog rides with Sam Correro
Catching up on where my buddy BigDog’s been riding, I see he got the chance to meet up with Sam Correro, creator of the Trans-America Trail, and ride Sam’s Mississippi Hill Country Ride. Head over to bigdogadventures.com to read Mark’s ride report, get the video and hear more insight from two great pioneers of our sport.

Posted at 08:06h, 30 NovemberExcellent Big Dog report. I want to do some epic riding next year. I am getting re-geared for it as we speak. Currently I am seeking a viable tent as mine is really just a 2 season tent.
Great website Basher! I enjoy it a lot. Perhaps you can make use of my track from Old Monroe to Blue Eye?

Posted at 10:43h, 30 NovemberHey DRZ Charlie! I’ll take a look at those tracks you sent me, see if both of us have been riding the same tracks!
As for tents, I picked up a Eureka Spitfire 2 tent, it was advertised as a 3 season tent but it is really only a 2. It was pretty cold up in Idaho. So before my Swinging Bridges ride I picked up a REI Camp Dome 2 tent for $99. It was much warmer for sure. But not as roomy as the Spitfire. If you are over 6′ I’d get a tent that’s a little longer but if you are under 6′ I’d recommend the Camp Dome 2 tent, can’t beat the price!!

Posted at 20:11h, 30 NovemberI remain in search of a tent. I haven’t really found one I like for around the $100 and under mark. I do however tend to procrastinate by researching stuff to death.
